Other children who wait:

Kami, female, DOB 11/21/94

Suffered from Epilepsy

Kami has made significant progress.  In particular, positive changes in her behavior were noticed since April 2005, and she now seems to be a ‘different’ child in many ways.  Her testing behaviors have decreased in both intensity and frequency.  Her former foster parents found her to be a child who is polite, pleasant and fun to be around.  Kami resided in the same foster home for 3 years but because of their health conditions, her foster parents were no longer able to care for her.  Kami has therefore recently moved into a group home. Kami remains an active, responsive, bright and capable young girl.  Her strengths and gifts hold great potential for a successful future if she continues to work hard, accept her identity and gradually heal from past wounds.

 Maurice, male, DOB 10/16/99

 Blindness

Maurice is an adorable and charming little boy.  One will be captivated by his sweet and lovely grins.  Despite his blindness and delay in different areas of development, Maurice has been taking new strides progressively, and his motivation to learn and to explore his environment is never limited by his special needs.  Maurice managed to adapt well to life at his present home shortly after he was admitted.  It is believed that Maurice will be able to assimilate into a committed family who is ready to welcome this precious child into their home with warm and unconditional love and care.
