Ten Christian Mothers in Uganda were distressed at the increasing number of orphans with no place to sleep and nothing to eat. They joined together to begin the Dorcas Home in Uganda.

The Dorcas Home cares for orphans 5 to 15 years old. Presently they care for 120 children, but there are many others who need help. Family Connections Christian Adoptions International has joined the ten Ugandan mothers in the work of feeding, clothing and educating the destitue children of Mbale, Uganda

  • To care for orphans 5 to 15 years old
  • To share the love of Christ both spiritual and physical, with the children under care
  • To provide education, nutrition and adult supervision
  • To develop skills for self-reliance and self-sufficiency
  • To particapate fully in income generating activities to support the children under care




The Dorcas Orphange provides children with:
  • Clothing
  • Food
  • Shelter
  • Education
  • and Love
