Since 2005, Wayne Mott has served FCCA with compassion and integrity, first as the Foster Family Agency Administrator and senior social work supervisor, and now as FCCA’s third Executive Director (effective January 1, 2017). With almost three decades of experience in child welfare, for many years he was a supervisor for a public child welfare agency in the areas of family reunification, placement, independent living, kinship care, and staff development. Prior to that, he worked with children in a group home. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Work, both earned with honors from California State University at Stanislaus.

Wayne puts to good use his extensive knowledge and practical experience, as he oversees all of the agency’s adoption programs and supervises all of the social work personnel. When asked what he likes best about his job, Wayne says that holding newborns who have just been placed with adoptive parents is about as good as life gets. During his non-working hours, he enjoys a variety of family activities at home and at his local church fellowship.
